Spears has been battling her father, Jamie Spears, in court in recent months, requesting his removal as the head of her conservatorship, which Jamie is actively fighting against.
"The conservatee has requested that I seek from the court a status hearing at which she can address the court directly," said Britney's court-appointed lawyer, Samuel D. Ingham III. The singer's attorney also requested that the hearing be scheduled on an"expedited basis," preferably within the next 30 days. Judge Brenda Penny scheduled the hearing for June 23.
Over the last decade, the singer has rarely publicly acknowledged her conservatorship and has only vaguely alluded to it in past interviews and, as of late,.
