It's purely about the art! At least that's what Cher is insisting when it comes to her appreciation for Law & Order: Organized Crime star Christopher Meloni.

before unexpectedly leaving after 12 seasons in 2011, returned to reprise his role of the rage-filled Det. Elliot Stabler in the new spinoff, which also stars Dylan McDermott as big bad Richard Wheatley. The show premiered April 1.

Though the singer was pretty clear in why she likes Meloni, Corden didn't buy that it was purely for the man's acting skills."You're not saying it because he's your type or anything?" he pressed."Just saying -- he's a dish!" But Cher was having none of it."Just because someone is an excellent actor doesn't mean you want to jump on their bones and roll them around on the carpet," she insisted.

Still not convinced, Corden pointed out,"Sounds like you've really thought about this. No one here mentioned carpets, ever! You mentioned jumping on him, and I just said, 'Is he your type'!"It's not hard to understand why Corden wasn't totally convinced that Cher perhaps also admired Meloni's physical attributes. Her tweet came during a week when Meloni was trending on Twitter.
