Court reserves judgment in Kunan appeal

The panel of judges in Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor’s appeal hearing for his bribery conviction reserves judgement, and will make a decision at a later date. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, April 22, 2021.

THE appeal hearing of former Federal Territories Minister Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor, 70, against his conviction and sentence for accepting a bribe of RM2 million from a businessman has completed at the Court of Appeal in Putrajaya today. Initially, the court fixed three days beginning today to hear Tengku Adnan’s appeal. However, the proceedings that started at 9.55am ended at 12.52pm after counsel Tan Hock Chuan, representing Adnan as appellant, and deputy public prosecutor Asmah Musa finished their submissions.
