A Russian-born businessman and his wife based on Queensland's Gold Coast are told they face jail unless they repay tourists they 'ripped off' through their outback car rental company, Australian 4WD Hire.

But its former controllers — businessman Vitali Roesch and his wife Maryna Kosukhina — have been given 21 days to repay customers $9,500.

The court found the hire company falsely claimed to have insurance that covered customers if vehicles incurred off-road damage. The court found the company engaged in "unconscionable" conduct between April 2017 and August 2019 by sending emails to 31 customers that "contained language that was intimidating and threatening".

The one positive of Covid has been people realising how few rights we have & the inability of Courts to uphold 'implied rights' Article doesn't say which part was thrown out & what remains

It should. This is an absurd ban. Government can abandon its responsibility of erecting a well managed quarantine facility but citizens can't even return home when they want. democracy I hope all the Indian-Australians remember that this was also ScottMorrisonMP doing, when it comes to voting soon. Scotty does not have Australians backs and he believes we should feel privileged to be an Australian under his command.
