MLB moving All-Star Game, draft, out of Georgia in response to voting restrictions

“Major League Baseball fundamentally supports voting rights for all Americans and opposes restrictions to the ballot box.”Georgia last week strengthened identification requirements for absentee ballots, shortened early voting periods for runoffs and made it a crime to offer food and water to voters waiting in line.

Commissioner Manfred said MLB made the decision after consulting with individual clubs as well as current and former players, adding the league was finalizing plans for a new host city.

What about people who are losing their jobs when they move out of Georgia. This is a strange way to react.

And what about the other states?

As Canadian voting laws resemble Georgia’s more than most states, will Toronto be shutout of a potential All-Star game also ?

Am I the only one that doesn't think that *everyone* should plaster their political opinions all over the place? Fine, they have a right, but actors/musicians/athletes/whatever else acting as if we should care what they think is unfortunate. Is there anything politics-free left?

Would be great if we could get a statement of disapproval from MLSE on voting restrictions moving thru the Florida legislature
