“I think if we want to get over the pandemic... we really, really need to vaccinate children,” said Dr. Asuncion Mejias, a pediatric physician at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. The Pfizer/BioNTech two-shot vaccine is already authorized for use in people as young as 16. The new study offers the first evidence of how well it will also work in school-age adolescents.
