Heroin along with many other hard drugs in Floyd's system is a huge game changer! If you do the crime (take drugs) you pay the price (not be strong enough to handle being arrested). Floyd's competency of sustaining life was sub-par while on heroin. Police officer = innocent.
That seems to be the usual defence target when cops charged with brutality.
