KUALA LUMPUR: The High Court here has fixed May 20 to hear an application by Datuk Seri Najib Razak, who is seeking to compel the prosecution to disclose banking documents in the RM2.28bil 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) trial.

The documents are from several companies, two of which are claimed to be linked to the family of former Bank Negara governor Tan Sri Dr Zeti Akhtar Abdul Aziz.

The court also ordered both parties to file in their written submissions on the discovery application by May 17. They are Aktis Capital Singapore Private Ltd, Country Group Securities Public Company Ltd, ACME Time Ltd , Butamba Investment Ltd, Central Holding Ltd, Iron Rhapsody Ltd, Cutting Edge Industries Ltd, and Sherman and Sterling LLC.
