Suhakam urges govt to do more to counter hate speech, intolerance

Suhakam has today urged the government to hold dialogues with youths and other groups to discuss and address the issue of racial discrimination and counter intolerance and hate speech in the country. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, March 21, 2021.

THE government must step up efforts to implement policies and measures to counter hate speech and intolerance, said the Human Rights Commission of Malaysia . In a statement, Suhakam also called on Putrajaya to create platforms for youths and various groups in society to discuss and address the issue of racial discrimination in the country.
