A diverse crowd gathered Saturday in a park across from the Georgia state capitol to demand justice for the victims of shootings at massage businesses days earlier and to denounce racism, xenophobia and misogyny.

The hundreds of people of all ages and varied racial and ethnic backgrounds who gathered in Liberty Plaza in Atlanta waved signs and cheered for speakers, including U.S. Sens. Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff and Georgia state Rep. Bee Nguyen, the first Vietnamese American to serve in the Georgia House.

Investigators have said Long confessed to the slayings but said they weren't racially motivated. He claimed to have a sex addiction, which caused him to lash out at what he saw as sources of temptation, according to authorities. Police have said they're still working to establish a motive, including looking into whether the attacks can be classified as hate crimes.

"Let's join hands with our ally community and demand justice for not only these victims but for all victims of white supremacy," she said. "I'm sick of being belittled and hypersexualized and hated for who I am, for something I can't change," she said as the group began marching toward the Capitol. Dong said he was "angry and disgusted" about the shootings, and the violence that persists in 2021 against Asians, minorities and women.

Has CTV asked MP’s why they platformed the hate groups responsible for inciting the Atlanta attack?

over react

The msm liberal elite media never let a terrible tragedy get in the way of creating a racist narrative

'Six of the 8 women killed were Asian', the article said. Ok, what about the other two? Why does the media ignore the other two women who were killed treating them as an afterthought at best? Do their lives not matter?

The racism grift is getting out of hand .

YLM, but every tragic event with Asian victims isn't anti-Asian racism. There's no evidence of that in this case. It is irresponsible for media to falsely promote racial division and paranoia.

The protestors with signs that state peace with China are completely idiotic

These people are so much better than others.

Neat.

BLM Are hate

Rallies, vigils, thoughts, prayers....still batting 0.000
