An Australian-Muslim rights organisation is threatening legal action against Facebook after accusing the tech giant of allowing Islamophobia to proliferate online.
AMAN has sent Facebook a legal letter outlining its concerns about the spread of hate speech and dangerous conspiracy theories directed towards Muslims, on various accounts, links and group pages on the site. ‘Australian Muslims are scared,’ says Islamic preacher on second anniversary of Christchurch shootings
AMAN has identified a number of Facebook accounts belonging to anti-Islam websites, which it says are masquerading as news on the platform. It is asking Facebook remove these accounts. The group also wants Facebook to amend its hate speech policy to recognise hateful characterisations of Muslims, such as painting Muslims as subhuman or savages.
If you don't want unwanted comments on you Facebook page.. make it private.. then, only members on the friends list can comment .. problem solved..
There are over 4,300 versions of religions practised from around the world plus atheists. Why should one version get special treatment? That version mentioned suffers from a massive PR problem mostly fostered by very gruesome videos put out by Al-Qaeda in that versions name.
Did you know, block, snooze and delete removes all unwanted and irksome trash from your feed. Lot better than whining about everything.
Some are under illusion they can cry foul all the time, but novelty wears off. Rights and duties go together.
While Islam proclaims all non Muslims ( infidels) must be destroyed and glorifies beheadings, twin tower, mass murder etc etc, there always going to islamaphobia.. The free world fears your behaviour.. that’s what a phobia is... only Muslims can change that..
Facebook is a joke, they remove right voters for the most minor thing.

Stop brow-beating women that they must conform to male-set standards of dress and you have a chance.
Simple solution. Ban religious beliefs as all 4200+ create conflict of interest

It is important for people to routinely report any comments they feel are harmful. If users show no tolerance of hate and hold Facebook to account in its response, it will reduce.
Facebook must not allow any kind of phobia or biased against any group of people.
Maybe a good place for fb to start is removing ALL religion from itself. Then politics. Imagine.
Honestly, this shouldn't have to be Facebook's problem. Don't our hate speech laws mean we can remove the islamaphobes themselves if the content is that bad?
There are people out there that hate you and want you to die because you don’t like cats.
