lol this Pope just ignores all religious tradition. 'Hell doesn't exist', 'i'm going to make this dude a saint', etc. He's basically not even Christian / Catholic. I mean what's the usual process of assigning sainthood? Why has he bypassed it?

People, this sharade is dead. Grown men and women in white and black robes and hoods spreading their fantasy of an imaginary friend, calked father. Spooky!

So what? People will pray to them now? Why did you declare African ancestral warship bad? Now you want Africans to pray to your choice of dead people and not their own? Stupid religion

Now you like the catholic church.....

NunanCBA

Maybe the Pope can also canonize the 4 American women who were Catholic Church lay workers murdered in El Salvador by Ronald Reagan's death-squad fascists.

Distraction from the collapse

That's not how this works

Pope has no knowledge of the 'realm of the dead' ...go away

But it doesn't absolve Bishops and cardinals of their crimes!

Pope Francis can suck it! He belongs in prison along with all the other sick perverts that are collectively known as the catholic church

Still hoping for Caesar Romero to make the list.

Sainthood to a Pope that did nothing when some of the worst clergy abuse in history was taking place. Sounds about right for the organized crime syndicate of Rome.

Strange how he who isn't supposed to judge judges.

it changes nothing in our lives

Pope to canonize El Salvador's Oscar Romero, Pope Paul VIVATICAN CITY (AP) — Thousands of people are converging on the Vatican for the canonization of two of the towering figures of the 20th-century Catholic Church: Pope Paul VI, who oversaw the modernizing church reforms of the 1960s, and Archbishop Oscar Romero, a human rights icon who was murdered for his defense of El Salvador's poor. Pope Francis is to celebrate Sunday's saint-making Mass wearing the blood-stained rope belt that Romero wore when he was gunned down in 1980 and using Paul VI's staff, chalice and pallium vestment — evidence of the strong influence both men had on history's first Latin American pope. Deserved! Loved the zombie movies! Pretty soon they’ll canonize any priest who went more than 20 years without fingering a choir boy Still doesn't erase the whole pedophilia problem.
