A woman, identified as Effie, has accused actor Armie Hammer of rape, according to Indiewire. In a press conference, Effie, who is being represented by notable women’s rights attorney Gloria Allred, said that Hammer raped her in Los Angeles in April of 2017, in a violent attack that lasted for “over four hours.” She described the incident: “he repeatedly slapped my head against a wall bruising my face. He also committed other acts of violence against me to which I did not consent.”

Hammer, who has denied the string of accusations, hastily released a statement countering Effie’s description of the alleged assault. Oh, so in your mind a man is never allowed to defend himself? I doubt you'd be saying something like this if a woman said the same thing, but got it. Good to know 😒

DARVO. The all too familiar DARVO: Deny, attack, and reverse victim-offender order. So many survivors are, sadly, sadly, not surprised.

How biased can a headline be? What? This is accuser's Instagram story recently. And then the texts she sent him. And her admitting going to court is her 'fetish'. Oh, and just weeks ago she was saying it was consensual.

Disgusting smear is defending himself? Like, literally he can’t say anything in his defense. We just have to believe all women and we can skip the whole innocent until proven guilty bs. Seems like a great system

perfect headline. Thank you.
