Top Senate Republican issues stark warning as Democrats take aim at filibuster

WASHINGTON - Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell on Tuesday warned Democrats that ending a long-standing Senate procedure that can block partisan legislation would bring President Joe Biden’s agenda to a standstill and lead to retribution in years to come.

“This chaos would not open up an express lane to liberal change. It would not open up an express lane for the Biden presidency to speed into the history books. The Senate would be more like a 100-car pileup. Nothing moving,” McConnell, a Kentucky Republican, said on the Senate floor. “We wouldn’t just erase every liberal change that hurt the country. We’d strengthen America with all kinds of conservative policies with zero – zero - input from the other side,” he said.

Right, only soulless Rep are allowed to change the rules. He’s lost control and only has threats left. Reps wouldn’t vote for a billsupported by 75% of the American people, what WILL they support? They aren’t going to cooperate regardless, kill filibuster, pass voting rights!

It’s always good to work together by tying to reach across the aisle but who really knows if republicans will even try to work with democrats and get legislative work done since they are oppose to most things democrats would like to see pass but all means try to work together
