Tampin OCPD Supt Anuwal Ab Wahab said police have concluded their probe and forwarded the investigation papers to the deputy public prosecutor's office.

Results of a post-mortem conducted at the Tuanku Ja’afar Hospital here later found that she had suffered serious injuries to the head, bruises on her wrists and legs, and bite marks on her body.Dental specialists from the Kuala Lumpur Hospital also confirmed that there were adult bite marks on her right hand, shoulder and wrist. The Forensics Department also confirmed that her head injury was caused by a blunt object.
The man was arrested while waiting for his wife and another nine-year-old stepson who were called to give a statement at the police station on Feb 9. The suspect was arrested after the victim’s brother told police that she was often beaten by her stepfather.
