The government outlawed a variety of firearms by cabinet order in May, saying they were built for the battlefield, not hunting or sport-shooting.The ban covers some 1,500 models and variants of what the government considers assault-style weapons, meaning they can no longer be legally used, sold or imported.

Did it ever occur to Trudeau that the people who want him or others dead are not likely to use legal guns and might not even use guns at all? I would prefer to have plenty of legal gun owners around to serve as a deterrent to criminals with illegal guns and criminal governments
