"They say you need this trial before the nation can heal, that the nation cannot heal without it. I say our nation cannot possibly heal with it," he said. "Trial by the Senate sitting at the court of impeachment is reserved for the president of the United States, not a private citizen who used to be president of the United States," he said."This is the first time that the United States Senate has ever been asked to apply the constitution's textual identification of 'the president' and impeachment provisions to anyone other than the sitting president of the United States.

GMA Wasting $ to satisfy someone’s ego!

Horray, Brilliant! Keep it up. Impeachment, and jail next please.

This BS opened with a doctored video. These dopes are wasting our money.

Where was the evidence of pre-planning on the part of the mob!? That would have given Trump some cover, for what it's worth, at least.

GMA Stop wasting tax dollars on the bullshit! I’m voting all your ass out of there!!!

marykbruce Hoping to get enough Republicans to stop grifting America:

I'm crying as well - there was no substance at all -

YES !!!

marykbruce ▌005ℹ️ Only government employees can be impeached. Anything further than that is an abuse of power. Which also constitutes impeachment case to be returned against those abusers. ⚖️ ▌005█

Hell yeah! He's not above the law after all?! LOL 😂 He did something horrible the officer's who got hurt, passed away from there injury's, he should be held accountable for it.

Trump's lawyer said this trial will tear this country apart are you kidding me. more then anything it will unite us. polls were done Americans approve of this trial and the potential conviction of Trump. we want justice.

GMA Whew.....at least we got that far.....Wordywords McPhees were so boring.

Using this as a standard. Time to remove from office and convict all those politicians that fueled the violence and even bailed people out of jail this past summer. Apply this standard equally. No violence at a protest should ever be acceptable, but many cheered it on summer 2020

So they wanna impeach Trump for oo who care but won't go after the Pedophiles in office. Funny how the government works

Impeach all in CONGRESS who supported violence from May until Jan, 2021 including Waters, Booker, Harris, Schummer, and OTHERS with their incitng violent remarks that we heard and know far to much! Jim_Jordan MittRomney SenTomCotton MarshaBlackburn HawleyMO SenTedCruz

All but 6 GOP senators have no soul.

GMA At least 6 GOP actually followed the constitution

Good

Great news

Politics 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

GMA When you do wrong...there are ramifications🇺🇸🙏our Constitution and our Democracy🇺🇸

The six Republicans that just sided with the illegal Dem impeachment farce should be immediately impeached for their failure to uphold the Constitution. I can’t wait for 2022 when Obama is pulled into the Senate and impeached for all of his high crimes!
