The House managers have presented video evidence of the Capitol riot as part of their case against former President Trump. Here's how key events unfolded throughout the day at the Capitol.

as a result of the riot, including a woman who was fatally shot by police and three people who died of apparent medical emergencies.hundreds of pro-Trump protesters pushed through barriers set up along the perimeter of the Capitol, where they tussled with officers in full riot gear, some calling the officers"traitors" for doing their jobs.police said demonstrators got into the building and the doors to the House and Senate were being locked.

Lawmakers began returning to the Capitol after the building was secured and made it clear that they intended to resume their intended business — namely, confirming Biden's win over Trump by counting the votes in the Electoral College.with Pence — who never left the Capitol, according to his press secretary — bringing the Senate session back into order.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said in a statement earlier Wednesday evening that congressional leadership wanted to continue with the joint session Wednesday night. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said on the floor that the"United States Senate will not be intimidated. We will not be kept out of this chamber by thugs, mobs or threats."

It took until deep in the early hours of Thursday morning, but Congress eventually counted and certified Biden's election win.

What Trump DIDN'T DO. He failed in his duty as Commander in Chief:

Just shows Republican Party first USA Second. Why did we elect them, when they take there marching orders from McConnell and not the American People.

There was a riot, clearly. You should have to prove trump cause said riot, not just show a riot. By that standard, you have to explain a lot to the people!

We must let the facts speak for themselves. The House must prove Trump took substantial steps toward the completion of a crime. They must show intent & collaboration. His public press conferences and fraud claims may have be irresponsible, but that is not enough to convict.

The former president should not be impeach. It is best God be Mr. Donald Trump judge. After all God give us all life we who are alive. This is all bull what is going on.The judge should throw all this mess out of the capitol. God throw it all out please in Jesus name amen Jesus

The next impeachments should start by President Biden, passing by Mrs. Pelosi, to all the way back to...only GOD KNOWS!

Have they been able to link the evidence to Trump? Presenting evidence without connecting it with the accused is insufficient. Yes he called for a protest but did he ever direct them to invade the Capitol. If he is guilty then Fox News and Republicans should be standing trial.

how convenient they cut out the part of the video where Trump told everyone to be peaceful.

What an absolute clown show. Vindictive and political, nothing else. Impeaching someone that tells people to “peacefully march” is nonsense. Why not go after Pelosi, she did the same thing.

I don't see the point in the Impeachment trial because Republican's have made their minds up with a bit of Trumps influence to stick to its unconstitutional . Even though the Dem's will proove this argument BS they will stick to it ignoring the evidence and the Oath they took .
