A mum-of-two who is seriously ill with cervical cancer has started on her month long trip to Mexico for vital treatment.
Cervical cancer campaigner Vicky Phelan, who lifted the lid on the mis-reading of smear swabs controversy and is currently in the US having her own treatment, said: “Wishing Lynsey all the very best as she heads to Mexico tomorrow for treatment. I will be sending positive energy her way all the way from the USA.”
Speaking on RTÉ’s Late Late Show on Friday, Ms Bennett said: “I’m trying to have backup plans for treatment to try and stay alive. I’m trying to go way into finding everything.Her trip to Mexico for treatment became a reality after a major fundraising campaign that received massive support nationwide.
“Jets off”...seriously...making it sound like a fucking holiday!! The woman is flying half way around the world to try and save her life because of our shit show of a health care system and it’s massive flaws which our government nor those in charge will apologise for.
