MANILA — The Supreme Court on Friday postponed oral arguments on the controversial Anti-Terrorism Act after Solicitor-General Jose Calida told the High Court that some of his staff tested positive for

COVID-19.

Oral arguments were rescheduled to Feb. 2, at 2:30 p.m., according to a notice from Edgar Aricheta, the SC Clerk of Court. No further details were available as to when Calida informed the High Court regarding the supposed positive test results or whether the results were submitted and validated by the Court.Watch more in iWantTFC It is also not immediately clear what prompted the assistant solicitor general and Office of the Solicitor General's staff, who were not named, to undergo COVID-19 testing earlier than the 72-hour period before the oral arguments required by the Court.
