KUALA LUMPUR: A group of 15 men have claimed trial at a Magistrate's Court here for rioting at a pub in Jalan Puchong last month.

V. Gobi Ramanan, 42, M. K. Kanan, 38, S. Somasundaram, 47, M. Pushpanathan, 39, C. Thayalan, 44, M. Thiru Vijaya Kumar, 41, M. Mathan, 40, V. Batmanthan, 41, S. Ganesh, 37, Muhammad Shahrul Anuar Sharizan, 24, D. Nathan, 39, Muhammad Shanker Sekaran, 39, S. Pirabu, 35, R.S Muguntan, 42, and A. J. Nicholas, 37, are jointly charged together with three others who are still at large.

The offence was allegedly committed at Club 29 Garden, Menara UP, Jalan Puchong, here at 11.25pm on Nov 25. Lawyers representing the accused persons, J. Gunamalar, S. Kalaish, John Das, Shashi Deva, Datuk Joshua Sambanthan and Leon Dinesh, however, asked for a lower bail amount on grounds that their clients have family to support.At the same court, Pushpanathan claimed trial for bearing a tattoo of a Gang 04 symbol on his left arm with intention of being a gang member of a criminal group that has been gazetted as illegal by the government.
