Just told my wife this story. She said it was bad but then looked me in the eye and said with a straight face, “I can’t blame him though”.
But I prefer to call him insane

A DECADE ..So she has NO hand for the entirety of her life and he is only sentenced to be sent to prison for 10 years
Too lenient – should have been 10 year jail term + chopping off of both hand at the time of release!!
