Christine Holgate clearly intends to fight calls that she steps down from her position as CEO but it’s hard to imagine her efforts will be successful given the Prime Minister’s comments, according to the Australian’s Business Reporter Jared Lynch.

Australia Post CEO Christine Holgate has come under fire in the past week after it emerged she organized $19 thousand worth of Cartier watches for senior executives. Prime Minister Scott Morrison, among others, was quick to condemn her actions.

In response to the outrage Ms Holgate was subject to, her lawyers sent a legal letter to the federal government, arguing there were no legal grounds for her to stand down as CEO for gifting Cartier watches. The letter also said Ms Holgate was humiliated in Question time. “Clearly, Christine does intend to fight, otherwise why issue a statement by her lawyers,” Mr Lynch told Sky News host Sharri Markson.

Jared .... Australia is not like Trump's America. It is not the Prime Ministers role to determine CEO roles. Those that advocate it is the PM role are nothing more political opportunists with an agenda.

No kidding. She's a saint compared to any lib member, let alone the so called leadership.
