He noted that as a people-oriented government, his administration is committed to the protection of lives, property and dignity of the people of the State.
The governor said while setting up the Commission of inquiry, the government was careful in the choice of its membership to include men and women of proven integrity and representing various interest groups in the State. “I call on private legal practitioners, human rights activists and civil society organisations to make their services available to victims that have complaints to present before the Commission.”
