A special South Australian court has been set up to only accept guilty pleas from offenders including accused paedophiles and drug traffickers, on the last day a 40 per cent sentencing discount is available before laws change on Monday.

She told the court that police still had to analyse 50,000 messages across nine messaging apps, including iMessage, Kik, WhatsApp and Instagram. "We regularly list matters in court for the purpose of entering a guilty plea," the spokesperson said.Shadow Attorney-General Kyam Maher said it was "quite frankly appalling" that offenders were rushing to get discounted sentences.

I understand the outrage about discounts but what ppl need to realise is that a it encourages an accused to plead. If they dont get a discount they will run trials. This means that complainants will be subjected to cross examination. The impact of which may have lasting effects

We need an accessible data base with names and pics of all pedophiles so we can keep our kids safe from these freaks. Also so we can cause some massive issues for the rest of their existence. Imagine having to trawl through 50,000 of these filth pedo messages pre sentencing 🤮🤬
Discount! Some guy sexually abuses a kid and he gets a discount. This is not a retail transaction FFS! While the paedo gets a discount it's the kids who get short changed!
