The nomination of Amy Coney Barrett to the US supreme court has been controversial in large part because Republicans are so obviously violating the standard they used to justify keeping Merrick Garland off the supreme court during Obama’s second term. But that hypocrisy has overshadowed the much more important matter: the substance of Barrett’s record, and her likely actions as a supreme court justice.

Again the Guardian doesn't understand the role of judges. Judges are not there to implement justice. Judges are there to uphold the law. Justice is personal. What to Guardian is justice is not justice to others. Law is equal to all.

It’s pretty clear that she has been put on the court to strike down the Affordable Care Act, overturn Roe vs Wade and rule in favour of Republicans if the election is disputed. It is and attempt to turn the clock back by 50 years.
