Democrats are treading carefully on religious faith as they prepare to question Pres. Donald Trump's Supreme Court nominee, Amy Coney Barrett.

The key cases the Supreme Court is set to hear, and how the battle to confirm Trump’s nominee may have hit a snag.

“Her religion is immaterial,” said Sen. Mazie Hirono, D-Hawaii, but it’s not out of bounds to question “the views themselves that she has articulated.” It's all the more daunting because Barrett’s faith has drawn much scrutiny thanks to her previous role as a “handmaiden” in People of Praise, a charismatic Christian community that views men as household leaders and, some ex-members say, women as subservient. She and her husband lived in a home owned by co-founders of the group when they were in law school, according to public records.

Feinstein spokesman Adam Russell said Feinstein “plans on focusing on the issues and what’s at stake for millions of American families if this process continues.”Fearful of losing the high court for a generation, the left is demanding that Democrats resist Barrett's nomination with everything they have. But with the election so close, Democrats are wary of missteps that could hurt their bid to wrest back control of the White House and the Senate majority.A Republican on the committee, Sen.

Democrats didn’t mind Catholic faith when John F. Kennedy was elected.

The Dems swore to uphold and follow the Constitution. If you cannot follow the Constitution then you don’t deserve to be our representative. Resign today!

Why is that a moral relevancy? If she were Muslim should it still be questioned?

Ya you showed the right person to give that statement.🤣

She is inexperienced. She was nominated because of her conservative views.

White Democrats don’t believe in God but the rest of their party does. Tightrope walking time!

who are they to think they get to define what is acceptable faith for someone else?

Why? Before RBG’s death, 5 SC justices were Catholic, 3 were Jewish, and 1 an Episcopalian convert, raised Catholic.

THE DEMOCRATS NEED TO SUCK IT UP !!!

Treading? They're going to complete unhinged a-holes. Guaranteed!!

She should never had been elected.Stuff her “religious” views.Who cares!

It’s been very obvious the the Democrats or Demoncrats pray to something else over the last 12 years. Killing baby’s is not a good thing.

Why a justice, in deciding a matter, has to follow his/hers religious beliefs. In this countryChurch and State are separate entities, and should remain separate.

She has 3 years experience as a judge, that’s enough to say no

F them, the craziest people ever

Catholic is one thing, cult is another. I think religion seems to be the common denominator with the horrible behavior of the republicans. The way the republicans are acting is nothing like the Bible teaches and yet, they claim to be religious. It appears Satan has a hold of them

Walk a tightrope .... it shouldn’t even be a question and shame on the politicians that made it one

Remember the words 'I swear to God'...Senators all were asked to say this...

Haha like the belligerent bulldozers they are 🤣

They learned their lessons the last time they went after Justice Kavanaugh. GOP gained net 2 seats in 2018. They won't be trying those dirty tricks this time. BINGO

Trump, his family and everyone around him is either being investigated for criminal activity or already in prison

She can worship her sofa, she’ll still be a great Justice.

I'm a Christian and an Independent. ALL religions are about FAITH. The LAW is about FACTS. Anyone with extreme viewpoints about ANYTHING, but especially religion, has no place sitting on the SCOTUS. ACB has already made it clear that her religious view are QUITE EXTREME. NoToACB

Republican lawmakers do not want the upcoming Senate hearings to spotlight the corporate power issues that might make rank-and-file conservative voters see Barrett’s nomination as an economic betrayal of the working class.

DEMO VOTERS LOVE SATAN. READ THE BIBLE

I don’t recall questions about Judaism put to Kagan and Ginsburg.
