No legal action over Covid-19 case, says PTA of Penang school

The PTA of Sekolah Kebangsaan Permatang Janggus has refuted reports that it is taking the school administration and the Education Ministry to court after a teacher of the school contracted Covid-19. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, October 10, 2020.

THE Parent-Teacher Association of Sekolah Kebangsaan Permatang Janggus will not take any legal action against the school after a teacher there contracted Covid-19, said Zainal Abidin Omar. The PTA chairman said legal action is not necessary since only one teacher has been infected and the virus has not spread to pupils and teachers at the school.
