Rev. Paul Scalia, son of the late Supreme Court justice, apologized to his parish for not wearing a mask while attending a White House ceremony for Judge Amy Coney Barrett. At least 8 people at the event have since tested positive for coronavirus.

Paul Scalia, here in 2016, has apologized for not wearing a mask at a recent White House event, saying his actions"did not follow my own expectations, caused disquiet and anxiety, and have distracted from the work of the Gospel."The Rev. Paul Scalia, here in 2016, has apologized for not wearing a mask at a recent White House event, saying his actions"did not follow my own expectations, caused disquiet and anxiety, and have distracted from the work of the Gospel.

Paul Scalia said when he; his brother, Labor Secretary Eugene Scalia; and other family members arrived at the White House on Sept. 26, they were given a rapid test for the coronavirus. After the test results came back negative, they were told they could remove their masks. Scalia said that he had been tested again, and his results were again negative, as were the results for his brother and their mother. He said he would quarantine through Friday at the recommendation of his doctor.

I’m sorry I’m being called out.... maybe his imaginary friend told him not to. No not Trump, the one that floats around in the sky

So did you our president take his mask OFF as he stood on the balcony of the house of the people.. Just slap everyone who is unable to get the experimental drugs for this pandemic

Mmmmmm... apology?

Masks are much better and more effective than apologies!

Wait, you're telling me a Scalia didn't consider the needs and safety of other people? Someone should have talk with his dad.

Does he kiss his mother with that face

Wuss.

I am tired of people not practicing what they preach.

This is a second priest who has apologized for not wearing a mask at this event, what is up with these priests, pastors, etc. who keep spreading covid around. Evil.

FakeNewsMedia spreading their biased FakeNews

Another GOP hypocrite wearing a cloth to give the impression of a leader. This is not leadership and this is not an apology. You should apologize for potentially putting others' lives at risk. And, for goodness sakes, you need to quarantine and stay away from people.

The least he could do.

Too late and a dollar short

Too little too late. What is with these people? They gather together and somehow lose every ounce of common sense they were born with. And now, after infecting innocent non-attendees, they ask forgiveness? There is something really wrong here.

then he needs to quarantine himself

'Pro-life,' LOL.

My mom during lunch today: Mom: can I go to confession? me: Nope, you cannot, it is an enclosed area Mom: maybe parking lot? me: only if priest is wearing a mask and you are 10 ft away She has not been in church for 6 months - this is why.

He wasn't wearing a mask at the indoor events either. It's ridiculous that he (& everyone else) listened to the WH over CDC guidelines. His mom is in her 80's

I’m sure my thoughts and prayers are with him.

Reverend Scalia huh?

Father Nitwit.

Your apology is not genuine or accepted...

Idiot!!! An apology after THAT? What a monster!!!

Wow a priest hurting his parishioners. Big shocker there.

I wonder how we became a nation that has a 'common sense' crisis..

Makes one wonder why people are so resistant to science and common sense...?

Jerk

Too late.

Hypocritical privileged human in circles of same.

A priest for God’s sake who is around people all the time. Where the hell is his common sense? Did he leave it in the confessional? We would have applauded you if you had worn one.

That the son of the late Justice Scalia, a catholic priest yet, was even at the ceremony should be an outrage. But, yeah, 2020.

No use beating a dead horse.

Like father, like son

Gluna21 What is an apology going to do? Stop his spreading of the virus? No

Puh leeze! Too little, too late. You know the consequences

Like all of those who attend the Rose Garden event, he is a coward and hypocrite

I don’t care. These people are trash

I'm not moved by his apology. One has to be smart to become a priest and certainly the son of Antonin scalia is probably pretty clever.. Perhaps God is moved.

Maybe he should apologize to God.

Can he also apologize for his dad giving us Citizens United?

Is this why they call ACB 'the female Scalia?'

Oh. He's sorry?

These people are unreal. Absolutely unfit to be in power

I've been wondering who would be the first to apologize for that rose garden super spreader debacle.

Hope he & his family members quarantine and continue to test.

up to 14 now

If anyone dies because of it, he will also need to repent for negligent homicide.

Gloriana10754 Can someone please record and send to the WH so they can learn what an apology is?

Thoughts & Prayers

We need frigging masks not acts of contrition!

A LITTLE LATE NOW, AH!

Go Brady Go

At least one of them has some humility.
