Court remands driver over unauthorized parking

A 35-year-old driver, Monsuru Lukuman, has been remanded by an Osogbo Magistrates’ Court for reckless driving and parking at an unauthorized place.

Police prosecutor, Inspector Jacob Akintunde told the court that the accused person committed the offence on September 29, 2020 around 4:45 pm at Dada Estate area, in Osogbo. According to the prosecutor, Akintunde alleged that the accused drove one Coaster Bus with registration number YA 635 EPE in a dangerous manner.

He further disclosed that the driver drove on the public highway without road worthiness and also caused obstruction by parking at unauthorized place. The offence committed is contrary to and punishable under Sections 146,18 Cap 146 Vol ll Law of Osun State 2002 and Section 155 Amendment of RTA of Nigeria 2015.
