Lagoa’s has been described as 'very pro-life, reliably pro-life’

is the most important state in the election," said Jesse Panuccio, former acting associate attorney general in Mr Trump's Justice Department and a member of the Florida Supreme Court Judicial Nominating Commission, which vetted her before governor Ron DeSantis, a Republican, named her to the state's top court in January 2019.

Citing support from former Jeb Bush advisors is NOT a positive. Could this signal that someone hostile to the Trump administration is behind this candidate? Or could the Dems already have some opposition research to use during the hearings that would force her to withdraw?

Amy Coney Barrett is surely still the front runner, as she should be. We can’t afford another Roberts on the Bench. I would expect that Trump will name her as the candidate today or tomorrow, with a swift approval by a majority of the Senate.

That Lagoa is now being mentioned so much by MSM makes me think that there’s something they know that conservatives don’t know. Being a member of the Federalist Society is important but there’s something unseemly about lobbying for the job. Besides, Trump has Cuban Americans.

Let me guess, she believes that it’s ok when presidents are criminals

What happens with the Supreme Court vacancy now?How many votes needed to confirm a Supreme Court Justice and how long? Obama in 2016: 'When there is a vacancy on the SCOTUS, the President is to nominate someone, the Senate is to consider that nomination... There's no unwritten law that says that it can only be done on off-years. That's not in the Constitution text.' A lot of loud hubbub, crying, and complaining by people who don't really understand the subject or players. Then a new justice. Basically noise for nothing.
