Boris Johnson has appealed to Conservative MPs to support Brexit-related legislation that could breach international law

In his address, Mr Johnson said a gap had opened up between the UK and EU over Northern Ireland.

He continued:"The difficulty has been that the EU has decided that unless we agree to their interpretation of what the checks would be, then the default position in the event of there being no agreement is that there should be nothing short of an economic barrier down the Irish Sea with tariffs." "What we can't have is the threat of a border down the Irish Sea and the threat of the breakup of the United Kingdom."The prime minister insisted there was"still a very good chance of a Canada style deal".

Mr Johnson urged MPs to look at the bill carefully, and give it their"overwhelming support", adding that it was about the"political integrity of our country".It is understood there were connection issues and the prime minister did not take questions. Some senior Conservatives are planning to amend the legislation, andincluding former party leaders Michael Howard, John Major and Theresa May have spoken out against it.

Parliament is sovereign remember 🤣

That’s tricky, back the legislation and shatter a deal with the EU, become a pariah state, and scupper any chance of a trade deal with the USA..or keep going down the Brexit rabbit hole.

Are the ugliest people on earth your Masters

Someone should have studied the Brexit papers more diligently before allowing Blustering Boris Johnson to foolishly declaring the oven ready deal is done.Embarresing for the U.K.?Not arf!

This is what Brexit has led to. Well done those UK followers of this clown.

Why 'could'? They already admitted that it does breach law.
