Sabah politicians welcome decision to dismiss state assembly dissolution challenge

They said on Tuesday democracy had prevailed with the ruling as the upcoming state polls could now proceed on Sept 26.“Even though we have friends amongst the 33 assemblymen, the reality is that the decision of the court will be better for Sabah, ” he said.

Bung also said that both sides of the political divide must respect the results on the Sept 26 polls and not resort to forming the government through crossovers. Warisan's permanent chairman Datuk Liew Vui Keong said he welcomed the court’s decision, adding that the governor’s decision should not be challenged in any court.

Liew urged Musa to respect the judiciary’s decision and prepare for the Sabah State polls on Sept 26.
