New trial ordered in 'Stairway to Heaven' copyright lawsuitI’ve listen to the two songs multiple times over the past couple years and just listened again. They are not the same and really, not even that similar. The idea that they stole this from spirit is just ridiculous Just listened again to Spirit. What jumped out were 4 successive, very familiar notes, about 6 sec in, prior to chord progression. The exact same notes of the "Ahh ah ahhhh ah" of Immigrant Song. I'm sure tons of others have already heard it, but new to me. Led Zeppelin, the greatest rock cover band ever. So hope they lose as it's completely clear they stole it.
