Rowling posted deeply troubling transphobic tweets and statements,” Kennedy posted on the organization’s website on August 3, referencing J.K. Rowling’s 3,670-word statement titled “J.K. Rowling Writes About Her Reasons for Speaking Out on Sex and Gender Issues.
Rowling responded with a statement on her own website on August 27, saying she’s not transphobic or “responsible for harm to trans people.” “I am deeply saddened that RFKHR has felt compelled to adopt this stance, but no award or honor, no matter my admiration for the person for whom it was named, means so much to me that I would forfeit the right to follow the dictates of my own conscience,” she took the time to write.
She does not have transphobic views so Kerry Kennedy should apologize to her or prove those accusations to be true.
Good she should as she doesn't deserve it.
Why not use this as an opportunity to learn? Shame
Perhaps she caught a clue and realizes she is unworthy of the award? You cannot be a human rights activist unless you advocate for all people.
