A Supreme Court judge finds in favour of a lawn bowls champion who sued his own club after his hand was severely burnt in a barbecuing mishap.

A champion lawn bowler could be awarded more than $1 million after successfully suing his own club over a barbecuing mishap.Kraig Dann successfully sued the Port Sorell Bowls Club over a barbecuing mishap in 2015Kraig Anthony Dann's hand was left severely burnt after the fat from a barbeque overflowed and caught fire at the Port Sorell Bowls Club in north-west Tasmania in November 2015.In papers filed with the court, the 47-year-old said he lost his job as a tradesman after the incident.

He sued the club for failing to provide safe barbecue equipment, safety gear and instructions in fire preparation. In the Supreme Court in Hobart on Friday, Justice Helen Wood found in favour of Mr Dann's claim for negligence.Justice Wood said she had assessed the damage in the sum of $1,074,880, but has given the parties time to check the figures.

I’ll take of the BBQ fellas , we are all good .... oh shit , I have been burnt , well they didnt show me how to use a BBQ safely or inform me that fire can burn .....

He burns his 47 year old hand cos he did a silly thing, cops a Mill thank you very much. BBQs are then banned from all bowls clubs and other sporting places like cricket clubs.. a quick million hey, for a bowls champ?
