Court allows amendment to notice to forfeit assets of Najib, 17 others

The High Court has allowed the prosecution to amend forfeiture of assets belonging to Najib, Rosmah and 16 other respondents. The court has set September 4 for case management. The Malaysian Insight file pic, August 27, 2020.

THE High Court today gave prosecution the green light to amend a forfeiture notice for hundreds of designer handbags, watches, cash and 27 cars that were seized from former prime minister Najib Razak, his wife Rosmah Mansor and 16 others. Judge Mohamed Zaini Mazlan allowed the application after deputy public prosecutor Faten Hadni Khairuddin informed the court that the prosecution would amend the notice of forfeiture and make corrections in three supporting affidavits by former deputy public prosecutor Fatnin Yusof, assistant police commissioner R. Rajagopal and superintendent Foo Wei Min to support the notice of motion.
