The mandatory mask rule in an effort to curb the spread of COVID-19 came into effect on Aug. 1 following a 10-3 council vote. The bylaw is applicable in all publicly-accessible indoor spaces including retail stores, restaurants, vehicle-for-hire services and recreation facilities.
Miller is calling for city council to rescind the bylaw within 10 days and he will terminate the legal proceedings. Otherwise, he will be seeking $565 million in remediation. “Everywhere I go, when I walk to places like Superstore or Southgate mall, masks are all over the place,” he said. “It’s unsanitary.”

Go for it! Since when do we need to have a bylaw mandating everything? It's part of this socialist, brainwashed, mind numbed state we are in. Everyone who wishes to wear a mask may wear one. But give other people a choice unless they are accepting close personal services.

Those who want to wear masks will still be able to. Those who don't won't be forced to by those who can't grasp the significance of 46 hospitalizations & 7 of those in the ICU out of a population of 4.5 million. Amazing how many people seem incapable of critical thought.

This is so wrong. Any city, town, province should have the right to make decisions that are in the best interest of the majority of the population based on facts without the fear of spurious or nuisance lawsuits from Covidiots.
