“I thank God, I have been granted leave by the Federal Court today to proceed with my appeal to be declared rightful Chief Minister of Sabah.
He said the Federal Court had decided that the case against the Sabah Yang Di-Pertua Negeri for appointing Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal was not academic. “The people of Sabah have the right to know whether my removal as CM was done in accordance with the Sabah constitution, ” he said, adding that his case had legal and constitutional implications at the Federal level.
Earlier Wednesday, a three-member bench led by Federal Court Judge Mohd Zawawi Salleh, in a majority 2-1 decision, allowed the applications by Musa and Tamparuli assemblyman Datuk Jahid@Noordin Jahim for leave to appeal against the Court of Appeal’s decision.
