Golf-gate attendee Seamus Woulfe faces fresh call to resign as Supreme Court judge from Shane Ross

Shane Ross, the former Minister for Transport and Sport, said Mr Justice Woulfe “behaved in a way that a judge should not” and insisted he should resign.

Mr Ross said: “I think it’s probably indicative of the elitism and situation of judges in this country hasn’t changed and he’s still there and a large number of politicians have resigned their offices at this stage. “I’m trying to be as modest as possible in this situation where a very serious offence has been committed.”

He told RTE Today with Claire Byrne that questions need to be asked about Mr Justice Woulfe’s attendance at the Oireachtas golf event in Clifden when he is not a member of the Oireachtas.
