The Morrison government has been in discussions with the ACTU about allowing employers who had been on JobKeeper, but no longer qualify, to still have the power to reduce employees’ hours, says Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell. “They have settled on businesses being allowed to do this, being those that can demonstrate a 10 per cent decline in revenue,” Mr Clennell told Sky News.
"You need a 30 per cent decline to get JobKeeper, but if you come out of that, you've still got a 10 per cent decline, you can still reduce your employees' hours". He said he understands Labor will support this provision with some amendments however, “generally they will allow it to be passed”.
