KOTA KINABALU: Politicians from both sides of the divide are going ahead with preparations for the coming snap polls despite a legal cloud hovering over the state election.

PBS vice president Datuk Johnny Mositun said all their election machinery had been prepared and they were ready to face any eventualities.Parti Warisan Sabah vice president Datuk Junz Wong, who is also Tanjung Aru assemblyman, said he was already preparing for the election.

Luyang assemblyman Tan Lee Fatt said it was clear that the Sabah head of state Tun Juhar Mahiruddin had absolute power to dissolve the state assembly. Karanaan assemblyman Masidi Manjun of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia Sabah said the best preparation was to assume that the state election was on.“We are already in election mode, irrespective of who the candidates are for the seats and so on,” he said.
