Lawyer Mohamed Haniff Khatri Abdulla, who has represented Dr Mahathir Mohamad before, is involved in the lawsuit challenging Anwar Ibrahim’s pardon.

In that suit, lawyer Mohamed Haniff Khatri Abdulla is acting for Mohd Khairul Azam Abdul Aziz, who claims that the pardon contravened Articles 42 and of the Federal Constitution.In a statement, Mahathir’s office said while Haniff had represented the veteran statesman since 2015, including in several ongoing cases, he was not Mahathir’s personal lawyer.

“That case and Haniff’s decision to participate in it as a lawyer has nothing to do with Tun ,” it said.
