Kota Kinabalu High Court today hearing application for a judicial review on the dissolution of the Sabah Legislative Assembly. — BernamaThe High Court has begun a hearing to determine whether the decision of the Sabah Yang Dipertua Negri to dissolve the State Legislative Assembly on July 30 is justiciable, meaning subject to trial in a court of law.

Former Sabah chief minister Tan Sri Musa Aman and 32 other state assemblymen have applied for the leave for judicial review, maintaining that Yang Dipertua Negri Tun Juhar Mahiruddin was not properly advised to dissolve the state assembly. Sabah Attorney-General Brenndon Keith Soh, representing the Yang Dipertua Negri, the Chief Minister and the Government of Sabah, arrived at the court at 8.30am. Tengku Fuad Tengku Ahmad, the lawyer representing Musa and the 32 assemblymen came 10 minutes later.
