Met insists officers did not know Dawn Butler's ethnicity when they stopped her

Police officers who stopped a car carryingSir Steve House insisted the stop was due to a mistake in the officers’ number plate-checking procedure and that the car’s tinted windows meant they had no idea who it was carrying.

So it’s ok the the police to put out BS unofficially on social media like driving on the wrong side of the road which cctv showed wasn’t true, but when they have nothing to fire back with it’s “trial by social media” all of a sudden.
