12/08/2020Governments and senior military leadership will have to take some “collective responsibility” if a report on Australian Special Forces’ behaviour in Afghanistan comes back with a damning finding, according to Labor frontbencher Joel Fitzgibbon. The report, which is expected to be handed down this month, is examining 55 separate incidents mostly spanning from 2007-13. It is alleged some ADF personnel killed unarmed civilians and terrorists after they had surrendered.

"If the allegations are found to be true, those individuals concerned have to face the music, and face our judicial system,” Mr Fitzgibbon told Sky News. “Let’s wait and see what the report says.
