Lawyer says firm got 92 cheques for RM76.9 million from Zahid

FORMER deputy prime minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi had given 92 cheques, totalling RM76.9 million, to a law firm for the funds to be kept in Yayasan Al-Falah’s account over a span of two years, the Kuala Lumpur High Court heard today. B. Muralidharan, 62, a partner at Messrs Lewis & Co told the court that all the cheques were banked into the clients’ account of the firm.
