MANILA - The remains of slain activist leader and peace consultant Randy Echanis were "illegally retrieved" by Quezon City police from a funeral home, his family's lawyer said Monday.

The remains were transferred back by policemen to the Pink Petals Memorial Homes in La Loma "for further investigation". "Gusto lang nilang patunayan na meron silang hold over the body of the deceased. This is pure harassment," Perez said. "Wala silang court order. This is clear harassment from the police." Atty. Luz Perez | via @JervisManahan pic.twitter.com/pHV0DYHXQyAnakpawis and other several militant groups have condemned the killing.

Interview the side of the Police why they did what they did.

Martial law na po tawag sa military actions without accountability and with impunity. Ano, Roque, PNP, AFP, Robin? 70 years old ito maysakit?

Ano 'to pati patay sasakupin ng PNP sa implementation ng Anti Terror Law? Since when did they have the authority to get a cadaver and transfer it to their funeral parlor of their choice? Yun nga sa Malacañang naagnas na at considered health risk na pero hinahayaan lang nila. 🤬

Talagang binaboy na ni duterte ang PNP. Inutil na pasaway pa.
