Aaron Brady has pleaded not guilty to the capital murder of the Detective Garda

The jury in the trial of the man accused of murdering Detective Garda Adrian Donohoe has begun considering its verdicts at the Central Criminal Court.

Presiding judge Mr Justice Michael White on Wednesday advised the five men and seven women to begin by considering the charge of robbery. He said that if they find Mr Brady not guilty of that charge it would be illogical to find him guilty of the murder charge.
