Trump’s absence at John Lewis services highlights struggle to honor prominent criticsTrump’s muted reaction to the death of a historic figure — albeit one with whom he disagreed — is just the latest instance of how he struggles to respond as a typical president would in these situations How about he fails to respond as a typical human being in well, any situation. Please stop comparing him to normal people, he is not. Just stop, please. What do you think would happen if Trump attended? Do you think that other attendees would allow the event to proceed with dignity? or that protesters would ugly-up the entire situation with Trump-hatred? Pence went, so admin represented. Lewis showed no respect for Trump. Just because the Dems make a spectacle out of every black that dies doesn’t equate to everyone having to bow down. Saint George Floyd’s funerals were ridiculous, as is this Lewis spectacle. Nauseating.
